    Re: I hate NOVA

I really do think that NOVA should have to come down here every 4 years. I think each Region should be able to host a State game in rotation. one year Region A the next B the next C and then D. I also think since we now have four districts in Region D that each District should be able to pick where they would like to host the Region D Championship from year to year. Either that or go back to the top seed hosting it at their choosing.

Play it on the highest seeds home field or let them decide where to play it. Easiest way to settle it, biggest problem in football in this area is to be blunt about it we have little to no chance of winning a state championship. PV is D2 and Norton who is D1 played a school the size of PV for the D1 Championship, Giles played a school with close to 800 students for the D2 Championship. Just send the trophy to Region B every year until they change this.

Goochland has 860 students, grades 8-12, according to the net.

That is the best way to settle it but just like in the VH$L money rules before fairness.

I guess you would rather go to the other side of the state there Countsie? I mean nobody likes to travel and nobody wants to go play in a sewage dump, but is it fair that one-two areas have to travel and the others don't?
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

    Re: I hate NOVA

Well I agree I think that the VHSL needs to get rid of Divs and go to a straight 4 or 5A format of IF they say with Division then split it Halfs by the whole state and not by Reagion (Now this would make "Reagional Playoffs not works since Div2 would only have 3 or 4 teams and Div1 a boatload in our area)

There is no easy answer but the current setup is without a dought a big problem

    Hey PVFan!

Whot do you think of each Region having a chance to host the State Title? When it come to Region D then UVA Wise would be the choice. Region C play it at their choosing and so on with A, and B. Or play all games Division 1 through 6 in Salem where they play the NCAA Division 3 National Title. Start them playing on Friday evening and end them Saturday night.

I would love to see it at VT if not in Salem.

And you need to win the lottery and create the Counts High School League and fix it....but this isn't Oz Dorthy, you keep saying what they need to do (your love of 4 or 5A is well noted) but they aren't going to blow the system up and start over, the best bet is to make it more equitable.
